Reynolds was born on December 13, 1994, in Antioch, Tennessee. His parents raised him, his father, Donal Reynolds(former UT Martin football player), and his mother(Jacqueline Reynolds).

Keenan’s inspiration for football came from his father; thus, he started playing at a very young age of five.

However, his big step towards his passion came after attending Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, where he led the school to a 27–6 record and consecutive district championships.

Not only was he in love with football, but he also admired various sports. As per his athletic build, he ran track and field and also was a member of the National Honor Society.

He graduated with honor, along with four varsity letters, as his high school duration ended in 2012.

Reynolds was a brilliant student in sports and academics; hence, he was offered games from the Navy, Air Force, and Wofford right after his high school years.

During his teenage days, he was also picking the attention of many affiliations as Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt.

The Year 2012

Reynolds commenced his first official play, with the Navy being its fourth-string quarterback.

During his fourth game in the freshman season, his teammate, Trey Miller(starting quarterback), met an ankle injury; hence, Reynolds took his place.

Keenan led his team, Midshipmen, against Air Force, towards the victory. This gave him the title ‘Starter’ for the final eight games of the season as he was the third freshman in the school’s history to do so.

For the year, his team faced the foremost loss of game with the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl 62–28.

The Year 2013

Reynolds began the year’s first game taking seven rushing touchdowns against game, with San Jose State claiming the record of the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NCAA history.

The Navy had 9-4 stats, in the end, winning the Armed Forces Bowl against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. By the end of the season, Keenan had already broken Ricky Dobbs and Collin Klein’s single-season records by having 29 rushing touchdowns.

Navy had a kickstart of the season with eleven games led by Reynolds. However, with the game against Temple, he twisted his knee. Hence, he couldn’t attend the game against Texas State.

  • Following it, he also holds the records for quarterbacking, which includes; the most career rushing attempts and touchdowns, most rushing touchdowns, and the first Navy QB to go 4–0 against Army.

He stood fifth for the Heisman Trophy running, earning himself the title for the highest position by a service academy player since Navy quarterback Roger Staubach’s win in 1963.

They ended the 2015 season at the home stadium with the Pittsburgh Panthers’ win in the Military Bowl, 44–28. This game earned them the title for the first Navy team to ever achieve 11 wins in a season, making their senior class have the 36th win.

The Year 2016

Reynolds made his appearance as a running back, switching from the quarterback. He was drafted in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens.

Although he did not physically play the game due to his back tightness, however, he stood as a unanimous captain for the East team. It was during the annual All-star game for the seniors(the 2016 East-West Shrine Game).

On February 28, 2016, the Naval Academy announced Keenan as the only athlete to wear the number 19 jersey. Later, in May 2016, Reynolds graduated from the United States Naval Academy.

Baltimore Ravens

On September 3, 2016, he was signed in by the Baltimore Ravens to follow the practice squad the following day. In December 2016, he was promoted as the active rooster during the final game of the season.

Right after the season, he dealt with a free agent one-year contract tender with the Ravens on April 26, 2017. On September 1, 2017, during final roster cuts, he was refrained by the Ravens.

Washington Redskins

On November 8, 2017, Reynolds was signed to the Washington Redskins’ practice squad.

Seattle Seahawks

On May 16, 2018, Reynolds signed with the Seattle Seahawks, and his journey ever since has been a bit confusing.

Four months later, on September 1, 2018, he was waived and re-signed to the squad again.

On September 12, he was then promoted to the active roster, and right after five days, he made an NFL debut in the match where the Seahawks’ 24–17 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Similarly, as in September, he was waived in October and re-signed to the squad later. Again, on November 24, he was promoted to the active roster. However, he was again waived three days later and then re-signed to the squad.

On January 7, 2019, Reynolds dealt a reserve contract with the Seattle Seahawks. The year 2019 was a competing one for him.

He worked laboriously to replace the retiring Doug Baldwin but lost to John Ursua and was waived on August 31.

Seattle Dragons

In October 2019, Keenan Reynolds was chosen by the Seattle Dragons in the 2020 XFL Draft.

The head coach of Seattle Dragons, Jim Zom, stated, “Keenan Reynolds is our ‘secret weapon’ who will be playing receiver, returner, and emergency quarterback.”

Reynolds was chosen as the team captain of a special team before the start of the 2020 XFL Draft.  In Seattle’s first game against the DC Defenders, though Reynolds kickstarted a good one with extra points, they lose to DC Defenders 31–19.

On April 10, 2020, as the league suspended operations,  Seattle Dragons terminated the contract with Keenan Reynolds.
