Kiara has a long road ahead. Her recovery will involve many kinds of treatment, including therapy for her brain and thinking skills, eye care, medical check-ups, possible surgery, and mental health support.

The family plans to share more updates after Kiara sees a specialist.

They’re very thankful for everyone’s prayers and support.

A touching moment gave them hope after a night of praying for her vision: Kiara noticed a flash of orange light from the Christmas lights in her room.
