MLB star Kiké Hernández is a family man with a loving and gorgeous wife, Mariana Vicente Hernández, and a cute daughter, Penélope Isabel.
The smitten have been married since 2018. And their first meeting story is quite interesting.
Kiké Hernández first noticed his future wife, Mariana Vicente, while watching the movie Hot Tub Time Machine 2 in 2015.
The Los Angeles Dodgers player was impressed by her acting and later searched for her online. To his surprise, he found out that she was also from San Juan and living in Los Angeles, just like him.
Kiké then sent Mariana a message on social media, congratulating her on her role. After two months of messaging, they met in person for lunch.
Kiké said she was just as beautiful in real life as in her modeling photos. They became friends and spent six months together before finally admitting they had feelings for each other.
The Hernández couple’s friendship turned into love, and they finally vowed to be together forever when they got married.
After Kiké proposed in Big Sur, he and Mariana celebrated their wedding on December 8, 2018, in Puerto Rico.
The pair wanted the event to reflect the beauty of the island and give their guests, many of whom had never been there before, a true Puerto Rican experience.
Mariana had trouble choosing just one view for their ceremony because the location offered stunning sights of the fort, the ocean, and the Capitol.
To solve this, they arranged the seating in a circle, standing in the middle so that family and friends could surround them while enjoying every view at once.

Mariana Vicente was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1989. She started modeling at just 4 years old. At 14, she joined her school’s fashion show and impressed people in the industry.
From then on, the wife of the baseball player became active in pageants. In 2010, she won the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico.
This was a proud moment for Mariana because it gave her the chance to represent her country. Mariana explained later that the pageant appealed to her because it was not only about beauty.
The MLB official’s better half said looks are important, but what mattered more was the chance to grow, learn, and show other talents while representing Puerto Rico.
During the 2010s, Mariana worked as both a model and an actress. She lived part of the time in Los Angeles and part of the time in New Orleans, where she later met her future husband.
The gorgeous lady said living in New Orleans was partly a financial choice since she could still travel to Los Angeles for auditions.
But she also stayed there because she grew to love the city. Kiké Hernández’s wife had planned to move to New York in 2012, but after spending the summer with her family in Louisiana, she decided to remain in New Orleans instead.
Mrs. Hernández explained that she wanted more family time and also needed a break from the busy life in Los Angeles, where she had been modeling and taking acting classes.
Before meeting Kiké Hernández, Mariana was focused on building her acting career. She appeared in several episodes of the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful and later starred in Hot Tub Time Machine 2.
Mariana shared in 2015 that acting had always been her dream, even though she wasn’t sure if it would ever come true. As a child, she often watched movies and thought to herself, “That would be amazing. I could do that.”

On January 15, 2021, Mariana and Kiké welcomed their daughter, Penélope Isabel, into the world.
For Kiké, the moment was unlike anything he had ever experienced.
He shared on Instagram that even being drafted, making his Major League debut, getting married, or winning the World Series couldn’t compare to the joy of meeting his little girl for the first time.
Mariana also celebrated Kiké’s first Father’s Day later that year. She posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, praising him for being a fun, loving, and devoted dad. She wrote that watching him embrace fatherhood was one of the happiest experiences.
