Former baseball pitcher Kirk Craig Saarloos played professionally from 2002 to 2008 and declared his retirement after the 2009 season.
After his retirement, Kirk began to work as a coach for various college baseball teams.
Regarding his playing career, the Houston Astros drafted him with the 86th overall pick in the 2002 MLB Draft.
Throughout his career, Kirk primarily played in the minor leagues, occasionally appearing in the major leagues. His MLB debut came with the Houston Astros on June 18, 2002.
Similarly, the former baseball pitcher played his final major league match on September 20, 2008, for the Oakland Athletics.
Before becoming a pro, Kirk played collegiate baseball under coach George Horton at Cal State Fullerton from 1999 to 2001.
The 46-year-old athlete wrapped up his MLB career with a 29-30 win-loss record, 5.02 ERA, and 251 strikeouts.

The retired baseball player has a blissful marital relationship with his wife, Kristen Saarloos (nee Roberts).
Kirk and Kristen tied the knot on June 16, 2002, in the presence of their close friends and family.

Kirk Saarloos’s wife, Kristen, attended Issaquah High School and later graduated from the University of Washington.
Presently, she works for Saarloos and Sons, a family-run vineyards and winery business.

In addition to being a devoted wife, Kristen is also a proud mother of three. The couple is raising two daughters, Emery and Lane, and a son, Brady.
Kirk Saarloos Family
Born on May 23, 1979, Kirk Saarloos is the youngest son of his parents, Linda Saarloos and Larry Saarloos.
His father, Larry, was also a baseball player who played for Cerritos College in the early 1970s.
Sadly, his father passed away on August 24, 2020, after sustaining critical injuries while riding a horse.
Likewise, Kirk’s mother, Linda, is a survivor who beat colon cancer in 1989. Nevertheless, she is a strong woman who attends every match of her son.
Kirk grew up alongside his elder brother, Keith Saarloos. Per his LinkedIn, he graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Business and Marketing. Later he also studied at Harvard University from 1998 to 1999.
Moreover, his brother, Keith, is also the owner of Saarloos Group and Kirk’s biggest motivator and supporter.
Kirk Saarloos Post Retirement
Despite a stellar career, Kirk Saarloos retired from baseball after the 2009 season.
In 2011, he served as an undergrad assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton, mainly responsible for training pitchers.
Later, Kirk joined Cal State as a full-time pitching coach, assisting in recruiting.
After seeing Kirk’s impressive coaching skills, Texas Christian University hired him as a pitching coach.
On June 15, 2021, TCU named him the head coach. Under his coaching, the Horned Frogs won the Big 12 Championship and Fayetteville Reginal.
Besides working as a coach, Kirk has earned the Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2022.
