Asllani commenced her international career in September 2008 with her debut for the Swedish national team against Romania. Following it, she also represented Sweden in UEFA Women’s Euro 2009.

On the contrary, Asllani wasn’t selected for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup by coach Thomas Dennerby.
