Kyle Snyder, the American freestyle wrestler who made history as the youngest to win the world, NCAA, and Olympic championships in the same year, is now making headlines due to his recent arrest.

According to reports, the Olympic gold medalist, Kyle Snyder, was recently arrested as part of a prostitution sting in Columbus.

Moreover, he was one of 16 men charged during an undercover operation on Columbus’ North Side on Friday, May 9.

The operation involved Columbus police posting ads for escort services on the internet, to which Snyder responded by texting and agreeing to meet at a nearby hotel.

According to police reports, Snyder paid an undercover officer cash and asked for oral sex. He was arrested for engaging in prostitution.

Although Kyle Snyder was released from custody the same day, his arrest captured the attention of millions who are now curious to learn more about his personal life, including details about his parents, wife, and family.

Kyle Frederick Snyder was born on November 20, 1995, in Woodbine, Maryland, to parents Stephen ‘Steve’ Snyder and Tricia Snyder.

While very little information about Kyle Snyder’s parents, Steve and Tricia, is available as they prefer to maintain a low profile, they instilled in him the passion and love for wrestling.

Kyle Snyder’s Parents, Steve And Tricia, Are Former College Athletes

The World Champion wrestler Kyle Snyder inherited his athletic genes from his parents, Steve and Tricia Snyder, who guided their son to become one of the most renowned wrestlers in the world.

Although Steve and Tricia didn’t wrestle or pursue their career as athletes, they showcased their amazing sports skills in high school and college.

Moreover, Kyle Snyder’s parents, Stephen ‘Steve’ and Tricia Snyder, are both former college athletes.

His father, Steve, excelled in football during his high school and collegiate athletic career, while his mother, Tricia, is a former high school and college cheerleader.

Furthermore, when Kyle Snyder was just 5 years old, his parents saw the ad for a local wrestling club in their neighborhood in Woodbine, Maryland, and decided to sign him in the club.

They saw the potential and passion for wrestling in their son Kyle from a very young age and decided to help him pursue his dreams in sports.

In an interview, his father, Steve, stated:

“He was athletic at an early age; he would wrestle with me, he would wrestle with his mom, and other kids. We saw the advertisement and thought that might be a place for him to do that without destroying the house. So we signed him up to see what would happen. Here we are.”
