Kyron Lopes, a dedicated quarterback admired for his leadership and vibrant spirit, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2025.

Prayers For Kyron Lopes’ Family, Friends, Teammates, and All Those Grieving His Sudden Loss!

Kyron Lopes, a standout athlete from La Salle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island, was a senior in 2016 who made his mark on the varsity football team.

Standing at 5’11”, he wore the coveted #1 jersey and played with versatility as both a running back (RB) and slot back (SB).

As a junior in 2014, he helped lead La Salle to a 10-2 record, including an undefeated 8-0 league run, earning a state rank of #2 and a national rank of #2138.

Building on that success, his senior season in 2015 saw him guide the team to a 9-3 record and a 7-1 league finish, again ranked #2 in the state and #858 nationally.

His performance earned him the Player of the Game Award, highlighting his impact and dedication as one of La Salle’s most reliable and dynamic athletes.

Additionally, during his junior year in 2015, he earned recognition as the Player of the Game.

Affectionately known by nicknames such as “Lighthouse,” “KyGetsBusy,” and “The Bouncer,” he was a charismatic young man whose personality and warmth made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

A talented quarterback, he was admired for his leadership on the field and the energy he brought to his team.

Beyond sports, Kyron was a cherished son, devoted friend, and member of the Rhode Island community.

His sudden and untimely passing on December 25, 2025, has left family, friends, and the broader community heartbroken.

Many of his friends, teammates, and close ones offered heartfelt tributes in his memory, sharing stories, loyalty, and energy on and off the field.

One of his family members shared through tears, writing:

Lost our little cousin today…..Our family will never be the same …Kyron we love you man

We were suppose to be celebrating you in a few weeks now we have to bury you……this is not fair man…there are people that are just good people …..you were really just a SOLID dude man….so many memories

My beloved cousin …….Rest Easy Young King …to my Cousin Nette Lopes….we got you ……We got you …..praying for you Queen

Likewise, another close friend reflected on the depth of their bond, saying,

50 years could’ve passed and i still would’ve never thought this day would come. theres a reason i been saying to everyone i care about “I love you 4Life and after!!!” I mean it, just because you left this realm doesnt mean i lost you forever. Ima wear Kyron on my sleeve for the rest of my time on earth, because he deserves that and more!!! RIP LIGHTHOUSE, KYGETSBUSY, THE BOUNCER!!! I hate to see you go, but i know you clearing the stands to make room for your niggas!! i’ll meet you there one day i promise!!!
