Lindsey Horan’s future husband, Tyler Heaps, like her, is related to the soccer world. Horan announced her engagement with Heaps at the end of the last month.
Tyler isn’t an athlete, but the one who looks after their performances and pulls out the numbers and stats. He previously worked with US Soccer Federation and now works with AS Monaco, home of Japanese soccer player Takumi Minamino.
The couple has been publicly dating since 2021 and had to go through a long-distance relationship stage for a while before Lindsey cut the distance after joining French Club Lyon.
Before the Women’s World Cup began, Lindsey was named the USWNT Captain alongside the longtime leader of the group Alex Morgan. The USWNT will begin its World Cup campaign against Vietnam.

Lindsey Horan’s husband, Tyler Heaps, was previously part of the US Soccer Federation. Heaps has been working in the sports industry for more than a decade.
Heaps graduated from Augsburg University with a Mathematics degree in 2013 and received the title of Summa Cum Laude for his academic achievements with a GPA of 3.94.
But along with graduating with a mathematics degree, Heaps also received the USSF National ‘E’ License from US Soccer Federation that same year. One of the first jobs of Tyler as a coach came in 2011 with Minnesota Thunder Academy.
He trained youth players from 9-12 and later joined NASL-North American Soccer League as a Game Day Statistician. But along with joining NASL, Tyler left his job at Minnesota to work at St. Catherine University as an Assistant Soccer Coach.
Both his gigs came to an end in 2015, after which he became part of the US Soccer Federation. He joined the US Soccer Federation in 2016 as part of the Coordinator, Analytics, and Research team in 2016.
He was then promoted to Manager of Analytics & Research, leading all sporting analytics within the federation. In 2020, Heaps was made the Director of Sporting Analytics, but even after reaching such a high position, he vacated the position a year later.
Heaps joined the French Club AS Monaco as the Head of Sporting Technology & Insights that same year and has since supported all sporting departments within the club.

Lindsey Horan And Tyler Heaps Are A Engaged Couple
On June 20, 2023, Lindsey shared the exciting news of her engagement with Tyler on her Instagram. She shared a series of pictures from their engagement that happened in a scenic backdrop.
Heaps was pictured going down on one knee with an emotional Lindsey covering her face. Lindsey captioned the post, “My heart is, and always will be, yours.”
And though she might have shared the post on June 20, the engagement had taken place a few days earlier, on June 16.
Their Relationship Throughout The Years
The first time Lindsey went public with their relationship was in 2021. She shared a photo of them during their hiking trip and captioned the post, “My favorite guy.”
A month after that post, on April 21, 2021, on Tyler’s 30th birthday, Lindsey shared a sweet birthday post. By that time, Tyler had already left for his job in Monaco, so Lindsey started the post by writing she misses all their adventures a lot more today.
From their bike rides to playing makeshift soccer and tennis in PDX were some of the activities Lindsey listed in her post that the couple enjoyed doing together.
But soon, the distance between the two shortened as Lindsey moved to the French Club, Lyon, from Portland Thoms. Since then, the American soccer star has shared several posts with her beau.
Most of them are simply appreciation posts for her man. She also has posted tons of pictures from their whirlwind trips, and sharing birthday posts for Tyler has become a norm for Lindsey.
