Kenneth Leaks, a recent graduate of Manvel High School, walked the stage on Tuesday, May 20, and tragically passed away just four days later on May 24.

He was a dedicated football player who played for Manvel’s varsity team from 2021 to 2024.

He played positions like outside linebacker (OLB) and slot back (SB) and was known for his speed and strength.

Standing at 5’6″ and weighing 150 pounds, Kenneth, 18, also competed in track, running the 100-meter dash in 11.33 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 54 seconds.

Family And Friends Mourn The Loss Of Kenneth Leaks

He is survived by his beloved mother, Kisha James, her one and only child, whose loss is immeasurable.

Jessica James expressed her pain and heartbreak, saying it was first her baby cousin Ariel Foxx, then her Aunt Minnie, and now her nephew Kenneth Leaks.

The weight of so much loss had her asking what was going on.

Through it all, she made it clear how much love she has for each of them. She reached out with love and support to Kisha James, letting everyone know she’s here and she cares deeply.

LIKE DAMN FIRST MY BABY COUSIN Ariel Foxx …THEN MY AUNT MINNIE….NOW MY NEPHEW Kenneth Leaks …WHAT THE FUCK FOR REAL …I LOVE YALL AND Kisha James IM HERE AND LOVE YOU…EVERYONE

Further, Tyler Grimble said he never thought he’d be putting “RIP” in front of Kenneth Leaks’ name.

Kenneth had just started his real life, just graduated a few days ago, and now he’s gone.

The loss hit Tyler hard. It left him broken and shaken, trying to make sense of something that shouldn’t have happened.

I never thought I’ll be puttin rip infront of yo name bro, you was js startin the real life you js graduated a couple day ago. You messed me up brudda

Similarly, Aunt Naomi Preshaee poured out her heart, saying it wasn’t supposed to be this way.

She was supposed to go first, and Kenneth Leaks was supposed to make her arrangements, not the other way around.

She’s struggling to understand how he could be gone and leave her like this.

Her love for him runs deep, and she promised never to let his name die.

Until it’s her time, she’ll carry him with her. She asked him to sit with her, to send a sign that he had made it, and to rest. She reminded him that he had done his job.

SAY! I was supposed to go first you supposed to be making my arrangements dude what you doing fr. How you leave me fr. ILL NEVER LET YOUR NAME DIE. Until it’s my turn, Baby boy I love you so much. Come sit with me. Send me a sign that you made it. You did your job neph get your rest🥺🫶🏾💔 Kenneth Leaks

Naomi Preshaee

Rest in peace, Kenneth!
