After graduation, Houston, Texas, drafted him in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. The 6’0 defensive player Dominique played about four seasons (2008-2011) with the team.
Although he didn’t enjoy a successful NFL career as his older brother, Dominique undoubtedly gained fame for his impressive defensive strategies. Nevertheless, he ended his football career in 2012.
Following his retirement, he served as a coordinator of Alumni Relations and a recruiting assistant at his alma mater. After this, he opted for a different professional path.

Marion’s second youngest brother, Thomas Barber, earned his name as a proficient collegiate player with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He played as a defensive linebacker for the team from 2016-19.
While at Minnesota, he earned several notable honors, including All Big-Ten Honorable Mention and Academic All Big-Ten Mention. Likewise, his other achievements include the 2019 RTB Trust Award and a two-time Neil Fredenburg Award.
Thomas finished his career with 274 tackles, 3.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries. Despite such a standout college career, he only received a three-star rating from 247 Sports.
