The son of a urologist father and real-estate agent mother, Mark grew up with his siblings in Scottsdale. He attended Desert Mountain High School nearby his residence, where he played football mostly as a wide receiver.
After high school graduation, Mark enrolled in the University of Oklahoma, where he studied management major. Besides that, he played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners for three seasons.
