Fall River, Massachusetts Native and Standout Baseball Player Brielle Raposo, 16, Passes Away in a Tragic Car Accident, Survived by Parents Heather and Josh Sousa and Siblings

Brielle Raposo, a Massachusetts native and avid baseball player, passed away on Saturday, September 20, at an untimely age of 16 in a tragic car accident, leaving her family and loved ones devastated.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, two teenagers were killed in a car accident on Interstate 195 around 1 a.m. in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, on Saturday.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found a Kia Sedan that had crashed in the median.

The report further revealed that the two teenagers from Fall River were thrown from the car into the left travel lane. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

While initially the names and ages of the teenagers were not released, it was later confirmed that they were Brielle Raposo and her boyfriend, Cameron, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident.

Furthermore, the untimely demise of Brielle Raposo and her boyfriend, Cameron, has left a profound void in the lives of their family, friends, and loved ones.

Brielle Raposo was an exceptional athlete who played multiple sports, including baseball, basketball, and softball.

She played baseball in high school and for the Riva Ratz Fall Ball Team, wearing jersey number #8. Brielle led her team in several victories.

Her mother, Heather, shared several posts paying tribute to her late daughter, Brielle Raposo, and shared memories on social media.

Furthermore, Heather’s social media is filled with pictures of her eldest daughter, Brielle, and her athletic achievements.

Heather Mae Sousa, a native of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, is a hair stylist, photographer, and teacher. Very little information is available about Brielle’s stepfather, Josh Sousa, as he prefers to maintain a low profile.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Brielle Raposo is survived by her four half-siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the entire family.

Likewise, the Fall River community has created a GoFundMe to support Brielle’s family financially during this challenging time.

The fundraiser aims to collect $3k, and to date, around $2,163 has been raised.

Brielle was a sassy, witty, and humorous girl who also loved to tease and hassle her kid brothers, according to the GoFundMe page.

Brielle Raposo’s kind and cheerful nature, along with her remarkable contribution to the sports community, will always be remembered.
