Matthew James Giteau, born on September 29, 1982, is a former Australian rugby union professional athlete who concluded his career as a player with the now-disbanded LA Giltinis of Major League Rugby (MLR).

Giteau showcased his versatility as a backline player. His primary roles encompassed the inside center and fly-half positions, despite commencing his career as a scrum-half.

He marked his debut for the Wallabies in 2002 during a match against England at Twickenham.

His exceptional performance made him a contender for the 2004 International Rugby Board Player of the Year accolade.

Throughout his illustrious career, he participated in 104 Super Rugby matches and amassed an impressive tally of 103 test caps while representing Australia.
