With Michael not having given any interviews not much is known about his family. His mother, Tish Morant Devoe, might have separated from his dad.
Going through Tish’s Facebook handle, there isn’t a single picture with Michael’s dad. But talented basketball has a sister, who could possibly be his half-sister.
Tish has uploaded a few pictures of Michael and Jalisa Haley Morant together on her Facebook handle. She has also shared a throwback snap of herself and Jalisa and wished her on National Daughter’s Day.
Michael Devoe Sister, Jalisa Haley Morant
Michael Devoe’s sister, Jalisa Haley Morant, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Psychology in 2016.
During her college days, Jalisa took part in intramural sports and had previously transferred from Valencia College to Central Florida.
After completing her degree from Central Florida, Jalisa returned to Valencia College as a career advisor. While she was studying at Central Florida, Jalisa was also interning in sports marketing.
Currently, Jalisa works at Aspen Square Management, a company that manages apartments for rent. She joined Aspen in 2018 as a traveling leasing and marketing associate and was promoted a year later to senior traveling community manager.
Though the siblings haven’t shared anything about each other on social media, Tish had previously shared a picture of her and Jalisa traveling to Michael’s games for Montverde Academy.
With Montverde winning the High School Nationals title, Tish and Jalisa posed alongside him and the trophy he was holding on to.
Jalisa is available on Facebook and has shared a few pictures of herself, but has maintained anonymity about being Michael’s sister.
Michael Devoe Career So Far
Standing at 6ft 5, Michael began his playing career at Montverde Academy, where he was a four-star recruit.
He was listed as No. 43 nationally, No. 13 at the point guard position by Rivals, and No. 9 at his position by 247Sports.
In 2017-18 he won the Geico National Championship title with a perfect record of 36-0. In the entirety of his high school basketball career, Michael Devoe averaged 14.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
Devoe then Georgia Tech for his collegiate career, where he played all four years of basketball. He was named All-ACC three times, starting in his sophomore year.
At Georgia Tech, Michael averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. He had announced he was entering the NBA Draft for the 2022 season but remained undrafted.
Last season Michael played for Ontario Clippers in G-League. For the 2023-24 G-League Expansion Draft, Devoe will be starting for Rip City Remix.
