Gallup was born on born March 4, 1996. His mother, Jenny, adopted him when he was ten months old. Jenny already had two kids when she adopted Gallup.
In talks with the Associated Press, Gallup said he was given up for adoption by his birth mom because she “wanted me to have a better life.” He mentioned receiving letters from his birth mom but has not had the chance to meet her.
Moreover, Michael has a close relationship with his mother, Jenny. Gallup is always sharing pictures with his mom on his Instagram, expressing gratitude and love. Jenny is also supportive of Gallup and his career.
Talking about his siblings, he had seven other siblings, 5 of whom were adopted together with Gallup.
Unfortunately, in late 2018, Gallup received a message of one of his brothers, Andrew, committing suicide.
Opening up about the tragic event, Gallup said, “That was by far the toughest thing I’ve ever had to do was to get some news like that, you don’t really know how to think. You just sit there and you cry. I just sat there and cried.”
“I got in the car with my sister and cried the whole way home. You can’t really do anything about it. You can’t train your body or anything for this.”
