With CM Punk’s return rumors growing louder, it has been made official that the wrestler will return to AEW on June 21 at AEW Dynamite. Along with CM, the netizens also queried about his brother, Mike Brooks.

Phillip Jack Brooks, also known by his ring name CM Punk, is an American professional wrestler who was born on October 26, 1978.

Brooks is also a sports commentator, actor, and retired mixed martial artist (MMA). During his time in WWE, he was a WWE champion for 434 days, the sixth-longest reign in WWE history.

Jack started his professional wrestling career on the Ring of Honor (ROH) and the independent circuit in 1999.

Additionally, he won the ROH World Championship, WWE Championship twice, and the World Heavyweight Championship three times.

Moreover, Brooks became the fastest winner of WWE’s 19th Triple Crown championship in just 203 days.

After his initial retirement from WWE, the wrestler started his career in MMA and then signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

CM Punk Brother, Mike Brook

CM Punk had a very rough childhood, as his father struggled with alcoholism. Later his mother also suffered from bipolar disorder, making him estranged from his mother.

The professional wrestler grew up with five siblings; three sisters and two brothers. Shaleen Lee Brooks is the little sister of Punk.

Michael Brook, also known as Mike, is the elder brother of the wrestler. However, the two brothers have been estranged since 1999.

During their teenage years, Punk and Mike, along with other kids from Chicago, organized a wrestling organization called the Lunatic Wrestling Federation (LWF).

The kids and Brook brothers collected their own money and started to organize low-budget events in their backyards.

As the people started to take notice of their event, they started generating revenues. In CM Punk’s documentary, Mike was briefly mentioned as during their LWF days, the elder Brooke embezzled thousands of dollars.

This led the two brothers to fall out, and hasn’t been in contact with each other since. In a live broadcast, “Strikes Back,” Mike admitted to having taken the money and made a big mistake.

Mike also emphasized other things that were not made public; he paid back the money to the company and elderly people.

CM Punk On AEW Dynamite

CM has not made any appearance on AEW since All Out in September 2022 but is expected to make his return.

The president of AEK, Tony Khan, was involved in a beef with CM Punk. After Punk’s longtime friend Ace Steel was called off at the last minute, he showed his disappointment.

Following the incident, Punk was also removed from AEW Collision marketing materials.

However, as per different online sources, the two parties may have settled their issues.

Tony Khan announced the debut of an episode of AEW Collision would be held at United Center in Chicago.

Punk’s return whispers have crowded the internet, and his return is planned for the June 21, 2023 broadcast of AEW Dynamite.
