During the pandemic, his oldest daughter would spend her time sewing medical-style masks from old T-shirts, and with his two sons, Mike would play basketball in their driveway.

The boys of the Dunleavy family would mimic great NBA teams such as the 1980s Lakers, where one would be Magic Johnson and the other Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Throughout the years, the Dunleavy family has tried their best to stay away from the limelight. His wife, Sarah, has accompanied him previously to a few events.

The NBA couple attended Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Brooklyn Black Tie Ball event in 2017 and were previously attendees at Chicago Young Leaders 4th Annual Green Gala in 2014.
