Furthermore, she was also an athlete and ran tracks in her high school days. But to support her family, she worked as a property manager for the Allegheny County Housing Authority and picked up odd jobs like telemarketing.

She never ran from her responsibilities after the divorce and provided everything the kids needed. Hence, she became a role model for her children.

Initially, Marlene saw football as a distraction to keep Miles off the streets. However, his talents took over, and soon enough, the coaches were telling her that her son would play in the NFL someday.

Moreover, Miles believes he owes everything to his mother for her sacrifices. Marlene used to drop him off before and pick him up after training.

Now that her son is a star, her efforts have finally paid off. She is present in most of his games, supporting her like always.

Father Brian Sanders

Miles’ father, Brian Sanders, was a musician and met Marlene during her university days. By the time they met, Brian already had a daughter named Ashley.

Moreover, Brian left Marlene and the kids after a divorce. They separated after Miles’ younger brother Kobe’s birth.

At present, Miles doesn’t have any relationship with his father.
