Miller Moss serves as the quarterback for the USC Trojans in American football. He honed his skills at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Los Angeles, California.

In his junior year in 2019, Moss earned several accolades, including being named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Juniors first team and All-CIF Division 3.

Additionally, the Los Angeles Daily News named him the Offensive Player of the Year.

Opting to continue his football journey, the four-star recruit committed to the University of Southern California (USC).

Upon joining USC in 2021, he participated in two games and subsequently took a redshirt for that year.

In both 2022 and 2023, Moss served as Caleb Williams’s backup quarterback.

Miller Moss hails from a family deeply rooted in academic and architectural pursuits.

Born to Emily Kovner Moss and Eric Moss, Miller’s upbringing was influenced significantly by his mother’s profession as a professor at USC’s School of Architecture.

A distinguished figure in her field, Emily integrated her passion for architecture, technology, art, and culture into her professional endeavors.

Educated at Stanford University with honors and distinction, she furthered her studies at the Yale University School of Architecture.

Interestingly, Miller’s early sports coaching came from his father, Eric Moss. However, this coaching stint was short-lived, lasting only two years.

Recounting those days, Miller humorously recalls how his father was banned from continuing as a coach due to his tendency to run up the score excessively.

Despite the brief coaching stint, Miller cherishes those memories. He fondly remembers his father’s enthusiasm, particularly when they played soccer.

A significant moment in Miller’s life occurred when he was just seven years old. While playing outside his father’s office, a chance encounter with one of Eric’s architectural clients paved the way for a crucial decision later on.

This connection eventually led Miller to transition from Loyola HS to Bishop Alemany after completing his freshman year, marking a pivotal move in his academic and athletic journey.

2023 Holiday Bowl

In a remarkable display at the 2023 Holiday Bowl, Miller Moss stepped into the spotlight, capitalizing on the absence of key players such as Caleb Williams, Brendan Rice, and MarShawn Lloyd.

These notable figures opted out of the game, all eyeing the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft in April.

With Williams taking a backseat, Moss seized the opportunity to make his collegiate starting debut during the 2023 Holiday Bowl.

Despite the immense pressure, Moss showcased an outstanding performance. He orchestrated the USC Trojans to a triumphant 42-28 victory over Louisville at Petco Park in San Diego.

His stellar performance on that Wednesday night amounted to 372 passing yards, solidifying his selection as the game’s offensive MVP.

Furthermore, his six touchdown throws were just one shy of tying the record for the most touchdown passes in a major college bowl game.

For context, LSU’s Joe Burrow holds the current record, having thrown seven touchdowns during the 2019 College Football Playoff semifinal in the Peach Bowl.
