During her time at Montevideo Senior High, Hallie made a lasting impact through her involvement in numerous activities.

She competed on the ThunderHawk tennis team for two years and also participated in basketball and softball.

Beyond athletics, Hallie’s leadership shone brightly—she served on the student council and was an active member of both the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the National Honor Society (NHS).

Hallie’s plans for the future reflected her compassionate nature. She intended to begin classes this fall at Lake Area Technical College, pursuing a career in occupational therapy.

Her desire to help others was not limited to her career goals—it was evident in every aspect of her life.

Those who knew Hallie describe her as someone who brought people together. She was a steady, kind presence who listened with her whole heart and gave freely of herself.

Her warmth and generosity of spirit made others feel valued, seen, and loved.

Friends often turned to her in moments of joy and sorrow, knowing they would find understanding and support.

Hallie’s death has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of her parents, Alyson and Joe Helgeson, her grandmother Debby Helgeson, and her partner Brady Heiling.

Yet, amid the heartbreak, her loved ones and the greater Montevideo community find solace in the memories she leaves behind.

As tributes pour in, Hallie is remembered not just for her achievements but for the quiet strength and compassion she carried throughout her life.

Her legacy endures in the lives she touched and in the countless acts of kindness she performed without expectation of recognition.

Memorial arrangements will be announced in the coming days.

As the community mourns together, they hold onto the light Hallie brought into the world—a light that will continue to inspire others to live with kindness, purpose, and love.
