Mortimer Jordan High School athlete Aiden Doss has passed away.

Aiden Doss was a baseball player from Morris, Alabama, who attended Mortimer Jordan High School.

Standing at 6’3″ and 225lbs, he was a right-handed pitcher (RHP) with first base as his secondary position, a physically imposing athlete built for the mound.

At Mortimer Jordan, Aiden was part of a school with a strong multi-sport athletic program, competing alongside athletes in football, basketball, soccer, track, and more.

He pursued his academic career with notable dedication, enrolling in both honors and AP/IB classes during high school.

Doss went on to attend Huntington College in Montgomery, Alabama, where he continued to pursue his passions.

At Huntington, he was a business major and a four-year member of the Hawks football team, showcasing his versatility and commitment as a multi-sport athlete.

He was also an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, demonstrating a strong sense of community and brotherhood beyond the athletic field.

Community Is Mourning The Tragic Death Of Aiden Doss

The sources claimed that the Mortimer Jordan High School athlete, Aiden Doss, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 21, following a single-vehicle crash in Lee County just days after he graduated.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified 21-year-old Aiden T. Doss, a student in the 2026 graduating class, as the victim of a deadly crash on Lee County Road 95 near Gregory Glen Road, just after midnight.

Huntington President Anthony Leigh shared a post on Facebook saying Aiden had a “servant and hospitable heart,” and that he was greatly loved by the Huntingdon community.

“I am heartbroken to share the news that Aidan Doss, a decorated member of our Huntingdon class of 2026, was killed in a car accident early this morning,”

Carol Robinson, of Birmingham, Alabama, also took to Facebook and mourned the loss of Aiden.

A Jefferson County 21-year-old was killed in a traffic crash early Sunday, just three days after he graduated from college. Aidan T. Doss graduated Thursday from Huntingdon, where he played football for four years and was a leader on campus. “He had a servant and hospitable heart,” said Huntingdon College President Anthony Leigh. Doss was a native of Kimberly and a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news that former Mortimer Jordan High School baseball player and Class of 2022 graduate, Aidan Doss, was killed in a car accident early this morning.
Aidan was a tremendous young man who made a lasting impact on our program and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a hard worker, a fierce competitor, and an outstanding sidearm pitcher. More importantly, he was an incredible teammate, always bringing a positive attitude and encouraging those around him. Aidan was simply a great human being, and his loss is a heartbreaking one for our community and our MJ Baseball family.

Moreover, Jennifer Fulford of Gardendale, AL, organized the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help Aiden’s family with funeral expenses.

The campaign aims to collect $35k, and it has collected around $28,519.

Other close ones and relatives have also offered their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Aiden’s parents.
