Talking about Max Christie’s younger brother, Cam Christie, born Cameron Hannaford Christie on July 24, 2005, began his basketball journey while attending Rolling Meadows High School.
As a junior, Cam averaged 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game and was rated a three-star recruit.
Similarly, he began his college career with the Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s basketball team, debuted in the season’s second game against UTSA, and scored 18 points in a 102-76 win.

Moreover, their mother, Katrina Hannaford Christie, scored more than 1000 points while playing basketball at Northwestern University and was selected to play on a Big Ten team that traveled to Japan.
Katrina, standing at a towering height of 6’2”, began her basketball journey while attending Eau Claire Memorial High School in the 1990s.
Similarly, Katrina led her high school basketball team to the state tournament in 1991, ’92, and ’93 and averaged 29.2 points and 14.4 rebounds per game in her senior year.
She also once made a state record by netting 55 points in a game and a 69.3 field goal percentage during her last year on the team.
However, despite her exceptional basketball skills, Katrina chose to focus on her education, enrolling at Loyola University in Chicago to pursue a master’s in counseling psychology.
Katrina now serves as a clinical psychologist and worked as a counselor at a therapeutic day school in Wheeling, Ill.
In addition to Max and Cam’s mother, their father, Max Sr., was a point guard who scored more than 2,000 points combined at Parkland College and Wisconsin-Superior before becoming an aircraft pilot.
Moreover, Max often talks about his parents and regards them as his biggest inspiration; in an interview, Max stated:
“My dad is an amazing shooter, still to this day,” the younger Max Christie said. “He can probably still outshoot me. My mom and me don’t really play, but she’s a great post player. Her post moves are better than mine.”
