Born on September 15, 2004, Nicholas Godsick is an emerging American tennis player. As of October 3, 2022, he reached a career-best ATP doubles ranking of No. 459.

Godsick shares a strong bond with Roger Federer, considering him not just a mentor but also a close friend.

In a notable achievement, Nicholas, alongside his partner Ethan Quinn, secured victory in the doubles category at the 2022 USTA Boys 18s National Championship.

This triumph granted them a wildcard entry into the main draw of the 2022 US Open.

He originally envisioned a career on Wall Street. But, during his internship, he worked with tennis star Monica Seles and got hooked on the sports world.

It was also Monica who introduced him to his future wife in 1994. The couple began to date in 1996 and married in 2000.

María José Fernández is a retired American professional tennis player born in the Dominican Republic but grew up in Miami.

During her career on the WTA Tour, she achieved significant success, securing seven singles titles, 17 in doubles, and reaching a career-high ranking of #4 globally.

In the singles, Maria was the finalist at the Australian Open in 1990 and 1992 and the French Open in 1993.

Additionally, she clinched a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics.

In doubles, her accomplishments included winning the 1991 Australian Open with Patty Fendick and the 1996 French Open, along with two Olympic gold medals.

Likewise, she served as the women’s coach for the 2012 US Olympic tennis team in London.

Presently, she works as a tennis analyst and commentator on ESPN.

Nicholas Godsick’s sister, Isabella Godsick, is also an athlete; she plays lacrosse and tennis at Dartmouth University.

She graduated from Hathaway High School, where she actively participated in tennis and lacrosse, holding the position of team captain.

There, she became a two-time OHSAA First Team Division II All-State player in lacrosse and tennis.

She was also honored as a two-time first-team all-region player in lacrosse.

Furthermore, Isabella earned All-America honors in lacrosse during her junior year and secured numerous prestigious Ohio girls’ tennis doubles titles.
