Nigel Sylvester’s net worth is reportedly worth $2 million thanks to his various collaborations with big brands. Since 2014, Nigel has been one of the biggest faces for BMX athletes.
At first, it started with a simple photograph, then turned into a series, and now Nigel Sylvester has become the most prominent name leading BMX.
The BMX athlete will soon drop his collaboration with Air Jordan this year.
This will be the second time he is collaborating with Air Jordan, but the first time as its athlete. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Sylvester hasn’t limited himself to becoming a BMX athlete.
He has transcended the sport and launched collaborations with fashion houses and car companies, including Mercedes.
Earlier this year, in April, Nigel announced he signed with WME Sports and will also work with IMG Models.
His parents, mother Ann Sylvester, father, and brother Adrian are all proud of his accomplishment.
Nigel Sylvester Net Worth
Nigel Sylvester’s net worth is supposedly $2 million, making him one of the highest-earning BMX athletes of the current generation.
Unlike other BMX athletes, Nigel Sylvester hasn’t made money from competitions. When asked the reason behind it, Sylvester said he enjoyed making content rather than competing.
His riding style was called street riding, which wouldn’t be seen in competitions.
The highly talented individual soon caught the eyes of the people on the internet, which led him to collaborate with various brands.
A few brands the BMX athlete has collaborated with include Nike, DFNS, XSET, Buzzfeed, and Ethika.
The 34-year-old has broken the barrier for several BMX athletes with high-end collaborations. In 2021, Nigel was one of the faces of the company Hyperice.
Hyperice is the industry leader in technological gadgets used for percussion, vibration, dynamic air compression, and thermal technology.
In 2020, he announced his collaboration with Specialized! and was featured in a Coach 2020 Winter Outerwear Campaign ad.
One of the other unique points about Sylvester and his BMX career is that he has been able to include fashion in it. In 2019, he signed with DNA Model Management taking the step into fashion.
In an interview with CFDA, Nigel said Deion Sanders’ quote, “If you look good, you feel good, if you feel good, you play good, if you play good, they pay good,” made him want to venture into the fashion industry.
Nigel Sylvester Collaboration With Jordan
Though Nigel had been collaborating with Jordan since 2018, it was only in 2021 he was added to the permanent roster of star athletes.
In September 2021, it was announced Sylvester would be the first BMX athlete to be signed with Jordan Brand.
Last year, in January, Sylvester sat down with GQ Sports to go through his sneaker collection.
In the video, Nigel showed off his Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, his first collaboration with the Jordan brand, in 2018.
With cycling and riding being his profession, the BMX athlete didn’t shy away from showing off the creasing in his sneakers.
Last year, Nigel gave the first look at his next collaboration with Jordan during his book launch, “Nigel Sylvester: Go.” The kicks are expected to debut in the summer of 2023.
