After achieving individual success in the athletic world, Kevin and Keisha made careers in different fields. But their sons have taken their talents to an even larger stage, with Noah recently being crowned the fastest man in the world.

In the 2023 World Athletics Championship, Noah Lyles won the 100m world title, finishing in 9.83 seconds. Lyles’ victory surprised many as he was battling with Covid in the lead-up to US Nationals last month.

Noah Lyles’ parents Kevin Lyles, and Keisha Caine, are former track stars in their own rights. So, seeing their son achieve great heights in the track and field world shouldn’t come as a surprise.

To list a few of their achievements, Keisha was a 10-time All-American at Seton Hall. Kevin won the 1993 Big East Indoor Championship and won the gold medal in the 1600-meter relay in the World University Games in 1993 and 1995 World Championships.

Kevin and Keisha separated when Noah and his brother, Josephus, were in middle school. After their divorce, Keisha has now settled with a man named Mark Bishop.

Noah and his siblings were raised by their mom in northern Virginia. As the boys became older, Keisha became their “Momager.”

After moving away from the fast life of track and field, Keisha became a certified life coach. She is the CEO & Founder of Bishop Athletics Counseling and the President of the Lyles Brothers Sports Foundation.

Keisha has also worked with several charities and in her limited free time, works with adults with intellectual disabilities. In July 2020, as Keisha visited Noah in Orlando, she immediately saw that her son was having a hard time mentally.

She knew they were signs of depression. As Keisha had introduced her children to therapy when they were young, Noah didn’t feel shame to come forward and talk about it.

In her previous interviews, Keisha said she and Noah are extroverts, whereas Josephus and Abby (little sister) are introverts. And though Josephus and Noah share the same house, Keisha talks to Noah every day and Josephus twice a week.

Speaking to The Charlotte Observer in 2021, Kevin said he knew about Noah’s talent when he was 13. Seeing him go head to head against boys bigger than him amazed Kevin.

Despite his divorce from Keisha, Kevin Lyles was present in his kids’ life. In 2020, Noah gifted his dad a replica of the 1993 Big East Championship ring.

Previously, Kevin had shared a story of how he tore down his house searching for the ring, which might have been lost in the first place when Noah and Josephus were at an age when they were throwing things away.

He is employed with Wells Fargo as their VP in Credit Portfolio Consultant. His first job in the finance world came in 1999 with Tower Hill Insurance Group as he became their Actuarial Analyst. He then worked with CMS as Data Analyst.

After his divorce from Keisha, Kevin moved on with a new partner. The dad of three is available on Facebook, where he has shared a few family photos and kids’ achievements.
