A beloved baseball coach, friend, and father, Gary passed away unexpectedly overnight at his home—just days after the funeral of his mother, Margie McBryar.

His passing comes as a double blow to the family, which had already been mourning the loss of his parents, Margie and the late Ray McBryar.

North Gwinnett Athletics paid tribute to him on social media, stating,

“Heaven gained a Bulldog today.”

As a longtime assistant baseball coach, Gary poured his heart into the program and the people in it.

The Mountain View Bears Football program echoed the loss, describing Gary as a “HUGE presence” in their community.
