In the world of youth sports, emotions can run high, but a recent incident at a Del City youth baseball game took things to a whole new level.
What started as a typical game day turned into a heated confrontation between parents, resulting in two boys being kicked off their team.
The drama grew publicly on Facebook, where one mom, Cassandra Roberts, vented her frustrations and shared details of an ongoing custody battle.

It’s a story of accusations and denials, with the unfortunate impact on the children involved, all captured on video, according to those at the center of it.
Cassandra Roberts didn’t hold back in her Facebook post, directly calling out Tara Linthicum, whom she referred to as a stepmom.
She accused Tara of bringing a friend to the game specifically to start a fight with her.
This altercation, Cassandra claimed, led to both of their sons being removed from the team.
She expressed deep anger over how Tara’s actions had negatively affected the boys, emphasizing that the kids were the real victims in this mess.
Cassandra also touched on broader issues, saying that Tara and others had been spreading lies about her for a long time.
Despite this, she pointed out that she continues to win in court because those accusations are not valid.
In a sarcastic jab, she dubbed Tara the “world’s best internet momma” and urged her to start making better choices for everyone’s sake.
The post hinted at a custody dispute involving a child named Axel, suggesting this baseball game fight was just the latest chapter in a long-running family conflict.
To add fuel to the fire, Cassandra shared a screenshot of a text conversation with someone whose phone number had a (405) area code, which covers parts of Oklahoma, including Del City.
The messages revolved around a legal document related to the custody issue.
She noted that the situation was set to last until October 10, 2025, and she was particularly upset about wording in the document that implied she had lost her housing.
Cassandra strongly denied ever being homeless, insisting she has always had a stable home and always will.
She questioned why it was phrased that way and didn’t care how it got fixed, whether by scribbling it out or admitting that the other side’s client had lied about her living situation.
Attached to the post was an image of an “Emergency Custody Order” from the Oklahoma County Court.
It showed a hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m., listed Cassandra Roberts among the parties involved, and bore a judge’s signature.
This document appeared to be directly linked to the custody battle she mentioned, underscoring her frustration with what she sees as false claims aimed at damaging her.
The Post Quickly Drew Comments from Others, Turning the Comment Section Into a Virtual Battlefield
One commenter, Mickay Kay, tried to play peacemaker.
She admitted she didn’t know the whole story but urged everyone to think about the kids first.
She suggested removing the drama from social media, taking a break, and focusing on self-care amid the high emotions of a custody battle.
“Listen idk the story. But guys think of the kids. A whole bunch of parents and people are seeing this. Maybe take this off social media, take a breath and coool off. Im sorry this is happening to you girl. I know how hard custody battles can be. But remember it’s for the kids and all emotions are super high right now. Just take a breather go do something with self care for yourself and try to not let this or the comments consume you. I wish you the best of luck and if you need anything you can always message me.”

Cassandra responded directly to Mickay, explaining her side of the story.
She said she doesn’t usually air her grievances online, but after enduring lies and repeated attempts to take her son away, she was done staying silent.
“I don’t ever take it to the internet with them but after being lied on and bashed for soooo long and now trying to take our son from me AGAIN over lies, I’m done sitting back allowing it.”

Things got even more intense with comments from Krystal Marie, who seemed to be the friend Cassandra accused Tara of bringing as backup.
Krystal painted a completely different picture, insisting the whole incident was caught on video and that Cassandra was the one who started everything.
She claimed Cassandra called people names, initiated the fight in the parking lot, and was solely responsible for the chaos.
Krystal said she was only there to support the boys and had no intention of fighting or even speaking to Cassandra.
According to her, the altercation between the two of them was what got the boys kicked off the team, not anything to do with Tara or someone named Matt.
She took responsibility for defending herself, but stressed that Cassandra’s friend had even tried to keep things calm and prevent escalation.
“That is not what happened at all. It is all on video. YOU starting it. YOU calling people out of their names. YOU starting a fight with me in the parking lot. YOU. You’re the victim tho right? No, your son is ma’am. I never had any intentions on fighting you, or even speaking to you. I was simply there to support the boys. You and I and our altercation in the parking lot was the reason for the boys being kicked off. Again, if you would have just been there to support your son instead of running your mouth MAYBE they would still be on the team. I take full responsibility for my actions in DEFENDING myself from you and your actions, however this is in no way Matt or Tara’s fault. Wasn’t your friend even trying to keep you out of it, and keep things calm? You don’t have to take responsibility for your actions, that’s fine. The boys were definitely kicked off because of YOU AND I tho.”

Krystal didn’t stop there. In a follow-up comment, she escalated her tone, warning that if she had truly wanted to fight, things would have gone much worse for Cassandra, but she chose restraint for the sake of the children in the parking lot.
“And you don’t understand that if someone was TRYING to fight you, I would have whooped your ass in that parking lot. But I chose not to for the sake of your son and everyone else’s kid in that parking lot.”

Cassandra fired back, dismissing Krystal’s version.
She referenced what the coach supposedly said and accused her of spinning the story to fit her narrative.
“definitely not what the couch said. I didn’t do this but spin it how you want.”

This Del City baseball fight highlights a growing concern in youth sports: how parental conflicts can spill over and harm the very kids they’re meant to support.
Incidents like this aren’t uncommon, with reports of fights at games across the country often making headlines for the wrong reasons.
In Oklahoma, local leagues emphasize sportsmanship and positive environments, but when custody battles and personal grudges enter the mix, it can quickly turn ugly.
As of now, with the custody order extending into October 2025, this saga might not be over yet.
For the boys involved, losing their spot on the team is a harsh lesson in adult drama they didn’t ask for.
Hopefully, all parties can find a way to prioritize the children’s well-being moving forward.
