Orlando Brown’s father, Orlando Claude Brown Sr., was also a football player who played offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns in the NFL.

Brown’s father graduated from Howard D. Woodson High School. He attended South Carolina State University and played college football for Willie Jeffries.

Brown signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 1993. He played three seasons for the Browns.

Orlando’s father earned the nickname “Zeus” during his first stint as a Raven, owing to his 2 meters, 360 lbs. frame and reputation as an energetic and intimidating player.

Likewise, he was one of the NFL’s highest-paid offensive linemen during his prime.

Retirement & Death of Orlando’s Father

Orlando’s father entered the restaurant business after retiring from football and opened the first Fatburger franchise in Maryland.

He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and property destruction in September 2009. However, the charges were eventually dropped.

Orlando Brown | Professional Career

Orlando attended the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and participated in all the combined and positional drills but struggled.

His 40-yard dash time was the slowest of any prospect at the combine, and NFL analyst Mike Mayock described it as a “historically bad time.”

He also finished last among all offensive linemen at the combine in the bench press, vertical jump, and broad jump.

Brown’s performance may have harmed his draft stock after he was widely regarded as a potential first-round pick by draft experts and scouts.

In the 2022-23 season, Orlando played 17 games in the regular season and also appeared in post-season games.
