American basketball point guard Jalen Suggs’s father, Larry Suggs, is a former accomplished local athlete.
Jalen Suggs recently went to Birmingham on Monday, March 31, 2025, to support his rumored girlfriend Hailey Van Lith, who plays for the TCU Horned Frogs women’s basketball team.
He went viral after ESPN posted a Twitter video where Suggs showed Van Lith’s No. 10 jersey. In the video, he said,

Sadly, Michael, a graduate of Cretin High School passed away on September 6, 2017, at 60.
