Pete Carroll, former NFL coach, currently serves as an advisor and executive VP for the Seattle Seahawks.

During high school, Carroll excelled in various sports. He was named Athlete of the Year in 1969 and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2009.

Carroll attended the College of Marin, then transferred to the University of the Pacific, earning All-Pacific Coast Athletic Association honors in 1971 and 1972 as a free safety.

Post-graduation, Carroll tried to pursue a professional football career. However, things did not work, so he tried a coaching career.

Caroll has achieved significant milestones in his career. As USC’s head coach from 2001 to 2009, Carroll led the team to seven bowl wins and secured two National Championships in 2003 and 2004.

Returning to the NFL in 2010, Carroll coached the Seahawks to 10 playoffs, 5 division wins, and won Super Bowl XLVIII.

On January 10, 2024, Carroll and the Seahawks mutually agreed to transition him from head coach to an advisory role after 14 seasons.
