American professional baseball player Henry Davis married his college sweetheart, Sofia Taranis, after nearly four years of dating since 2020.

Henry Davis is a professional baseball player, a catcher and right fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He made his MLB debut on June 19, 2023, and has since been a key player for the Pirates.

Recently, he became the first-ever pitcher/catcher along with pitcher Paul Skenes, making MLB history.

They were both selected first overall in the MLB draft. Davis, drafted in 2021, was called up recently due to injuries in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ lineup.

He ended up catching for Skenes, the 2023 top pick, in their 10-3 win over the Washington Nationals.

    They first met while attending the University of Louisville. During that time, Davis was a standout baseball player, and Taranis was a cheerleader for the Ladybirds squad.

    Their connection grew over time, and they officially started dating in 2020.

    Sofia first shared a photo of them together during a trip to North Key Largo, Florida, in December 2020, marking one of their earliest public moments as a couple.

    Over the years, Davis celebrated his second anniversary in September 2022 with a heartfelt caption: ‘Two years down and forever to go.

    In December 2022, Davis proposed to Sofia on Mustique Island, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, in a romantic setting filled with roses.

    Eventually, after 2 years of engagement, the beautiful couple got married in a beautiful ceremony.

    Born on November 12, 2001, Sofia is the daughter of Safet and Roseann Taranis. She grew up in Algonquin, Illinois, along with her siblings.

    She attended Huntley High School, where she was a standout cheerleader. Also, she won various accolades in multiple competitions.

    Later, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance at the University of Louisville.

    During her time at Louisville, she was part of a prestigious team, the Ladybirds cheerleading squad.

    Beyond cheerleading, Sofia trained as a dancer for 14 years at the Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance.

    Additionally, she has built a strong presence on social media. She often shares glimpses of her life, dance routines, and moments with her husband, Henry Davis.
