Antonio Brown, 37, was detained by police early Saturday following an altercation in which gunshots were fired outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami.

Police officers responded to the area at about 3 a.m. after receiving an alert from the gunshot-detection system ShotSpotter.

Brown was seen holding a black pistol as he pursued someone. Shots could be heard off camera shortly thereafter.

The video also captured Brown with his hands behind his back as he was led out of the venue by police officers.

Brown posted on social media that he had been jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal his jewelry and caused him physical harm. He added,

“Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED,”

Wide Receiver Antonio Brown’s Mother Married Larry Moss Following Her Divorce From Eddie Brown

Born on July 10, 1988, Antonio Brown’s parents, “Touchdown” Eddie Brown and Adrianne Moss, separated when Antonio was 10.

Following a divorce, Eddie left to play football for Louisiana Tech while Adrianne stayed behind with her son.

When Brown turned 16, his mother, Adrianne, married Larry Moss. He had a bad relationship with his stepfather and was asked to leave the house.

Antonio stayed with friends and teammates, bouncing from house to house when his friends’ families had room. He also stayed at hotels that sold rooms by the hour.

However, in one of the interviews, Antonio said he has no hard feelings for his mother.

He credited his mother for the difficulties in his childhood, which made him a successful football player.

Antonio has rebuilt his relationship with his mother. They talk regularly, and she sometimes travels to Miami to see his games.

His mother, Adrianne, is the deputy director at the U.S. Department of the Interior. She pursued her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 1983.
