The Port Saint Lucie, Florida, community is mourning the untimely death of a beloved resident and longtime volleyball coach, James Falley.

James Falley, a native of Selden, New York, took his last breath on December 8, 2025, at an untimely age of 31 after battling severe health complications for two months.

According to his loved ones, James entered the hospital in September, and what began as a fight for recovery quickly turned into a struggle that required two heart support machines and kidney dialysis.

Even as blood clots caused multiple strokes and took the movement on his left side, James kept fighting, pushing through every therapy session and lifting his right arm to shake a hand or give a peace sign to show he was still with them.

His goal was to get strong enough for a heart and kidney transplant so he could return home to his family, but the damage to his body was too severe.

Before his final hours, he asked for one last meal—a NYY steak and three dirty Dr Peppers—, but he never reached it.

On the morning of December 8, before visiting hours, his father placed James’s Mets hat on his head and held his hand as he took his last breath, opening his eyes one final time, surrounded by love.

The untimely death of James Falley has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

James was a cherished member of Port Saint Lucie’s sports community and touched the lives of countless young athletes with his amazing coaching skills and his kind nature, serving as a volleyball coach.

Furthermore, James Falley was serving as the volleyball coach at Southwest PSL Little League and led his team in several victories throughout his life.

James Falley’s indefinable contribution to the Port Saint Lucie, Florida, community as a remarkable coach and kind person will always be remembered.

James Falley is Survived by His Wife, Brooke Binger, Three Kids, and The Entire Family

In addition to being an amazing coach, James Falley was also a devoted husband to his wife, Brooke Binger, and a loving father to his three kids, Emma, Noah, and JJ.

Throughout his battle with health issues, his loving wife, Brooke, stood by his side as his constant supporter, taking care of him.

A day before his demise, James’ three kids hugged him, talked to him, and expressed their love, not knowing it would be their last time with him.

James Falley often shared pictures of his wife and kids on social media, expressing their love and pride for them.

James also leaves behind his beloved parents, Kelley Callahan and Scott Falley, his sisters, Danielle Rivas and Nicole Dawn, and his brother, nieces, nephews, and the entire family.

Likewise, the Port Lucie, Florida community has created a GoFundMe to help James Falley’s family ease the financial burden and cover the medical and memorial expenses.

The fundraiser aims to collect $55k, and to date, around $20,255 has been raised. James’ family will soon provide details about his funeral and memorial services.
