Prayers For Gibbs HS Baseball Player Lincoln Barton, 16, Seriously Injured In Crash With Parents Khristy And Matt Supported By Meal Train

The community’s response has been full of kindness, and their love and encouragement mean everything to the Barton family right now.

Corryton, Tennessee resident, Lincoln Barton was involved in a serious car accident on May 7th and is currently hospitalized with extensive injuries.

He is a member of the Gibbs High School Baseball team, now facing a long road to recovery.

Lincoln, 16, plays as a right-handed pitcher (RHP) and first baseman (1B), and stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds. Lincoln bats and throws right-handed (R/R).

He last played with the East Cobb Astros 16U team, a well-regarded youth baseball program.

Community Offering Prayers, Meals, And Support During Lincoln Barton’s Recovery

His parents, Khristy and Matt Barton, along with his siblings, Tayte, Reise, Emeri, and Ayden, stay by his side as he continues receiving care and support.

A meal train has been organized to help ease the daily burden on the family.

Meals are being delivered to their home between 5 PM and 6 PM, with food needed for eight adults and four children.

There are no dietary restrictions, and Lincoln enjoys various foods.

In addition to meal support, monetary donations and restaurant gift cards have been welcomed.

So far, 28 donors have raised $1,350 of a $2,500 fundraising goal.

Catie Al-Hussein is leading the fundraiser and meal coordination, and more than 50 individuals have already participated by providing meals, donations, or other support.

Many people and organizations from the community and surrounding areas have come together to help.

The Knoxville Central High Bobcat Dugout Club and several others from the baseball community have offered prayers and support, showing how close-knit and caring the baseball world can be.

Similarly, Sami Kimbrell Kitts asks for prayers and support for her youngest brother-in-law, Lincoln Barton.

Her message was filled with love and concern, ending with a heartfelt “We love you, Uncle Linc!

Please send all of your prayers to my youngest brother in law, Lincoln. He was in an awful car accident tonight. He is one of the strongest kids I know but he’s going to need all of the best thoughts sent his way for this long recovery. Please also send prayers to my amazing in-laws; i cant imagine how difficult this time will be. We love you Uncle Linc!!
