Oliver Baerman, a sophomore at Mt. Si High School, was involved in a car accident in Snoqualmie on Friday, June 6th, on County Line Road in Snoqualmie.
He has played football for Mount Si since 2023, starting on the freshman team, moving up to varsity, and also playing on the junior varsity team in 2024.
He was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was first admitted to the emergency room and then moved to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Oliver suffered brain trauma and a broken collarbone.
CT scans showed bleeding in his brain but no immediate signs that would prevent a full recovery.
However, his family explains that healing from brain injuries takes time and many small steps.
They ask for prayers and support during this difficult time and request no visitors so Oliver can rest quietly and focus on healing.
