Traice Davis Was Involved In Multiple Sports!
Traice Davis was a senior football player at Brighton High School and also a wrestler for the BHS program.
A senior student-athlete at Brighton High School in Tennessee, graduating with the Class of 2026.
Standing 5’4″, he played varsity football as a wide receiver and center.
He was the older brother of freshman Lady Cardinal athlete Wreylin Davis.
His sudden passing left a void in the heart of his family and the entire Brighton community.
Coaches, teammates, faculty, and members of the community offered heartfelt tributes to Traice Davis, describing him as a genuinely loved young man.
Moreover, Traice’s demise was mourned across the school, with athletic events—including football and wrestling.
To honour his life and legacy, Brighton Middle School Wrestling is hosting a home match tonight, with weigh-ins beginning at 5 PM and action starting at 6 PM.
This match features boys’ and girls’ teams competing against the Bon Lin Middle Lynx and Veritas Prep.
Additionally, all proceeds and donations collected will go to the family of BHS wrestler Traice Davis.

As a coach watching a beautiful family lose a child is heartbreaking and I’d be fooling myself to think I can offer comfort during an uncomfortable time. I can offer this, to the Davis family, the Brighton community, Brighton family of students and faculty. Traice Davis is a wonderful young man and he is genuinely loved by EVERYONE around him. I watched an entire school feel the impact of his loss and I know we will have the impact of his spirit moving forward. We enter Fridays contest with the blessing of the Davis family and we plan to honor them in our play.
