From racer to supportive partner, Daniel Hemric’s wife, Kenzie Hemric, remains active in the motorsports community.

Daniel Brian Hemric has established himself as a formidable force in NASCAR racing since beginning his career at the tender age of five.

Born on January 27, 1991, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, Hemric’s journey from go-kart racing to NASCAR champion showcases his dedication to the sport.

His breakthrough moment came in 2021 when he clinched both his first NASCAR victory and the Xfinity Series championship while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Throughout his career, Hemric has demonstrated remarkable versatility, competing across multiple NASCAR series, including the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series.

His career hit another milestone in 2023 when Kaulig Racing announced him as the driver of the No. 31 car for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series, marking his return to full-time Cup Series competition since 2019.

From Racing Competitors to Life Partners: The Hemrics’ Journey Began on the Track

Behind the wheel of success stands a strong family foundation.

Daniel Hemric married fellow racer Kenzie Ruston on January 7, 2017, after a two-year engagement.

Kenzie, who comes from a racing lineage herself, made history as the first female member of the NASCAR Next program and competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for three years.

The daughter of former dirt bike racer Darren Ruston and step-granddaughter of Oklahoma dirt track racer Jerry Morrison, Kenzie’s racing background created a unique bond with Daniel.

During her racing career, Kenzie showed remarkable skill, achieving her career-best finish of second place at the Iowa Speedway in 2014 while racing for Ben Kennedy Racing.

Her most successful season came in her debut year when she secured sixth place in the driver’s standings.

Their shared passion for racing has been a cornerstone of their relationship, with Kenzie noting in a NASCAR interview that Daniel never took it easy on her during races, treating her as a serious competitor.

Currently sponsored by Cirkul, Kenzie has transitioned from her racing career but remains connected to the motorsports community through her support of Daniel’s racing endeavors.

The Hemrics have welcomed two children into their racing family.

Their daughter, Rhen Haven, was born on May 9, 2020, bringing new joy to their lives.

The family expanded further with the arrival of their son, Ruston Monroe Hemric, on December 23, 2022.

The couple shared their excitement about becoming parents for the second time through a heartwarming Christmas Day announcement on Instagram, celebrating their first holiday as a family of four.

Their social media presence offers glimpses into their family life, including special moments like their visit to the Polar Express during the holiday season, showing how they balance their racing lifestyle with creating magical memories for their children.

Kenzie has expressed her open-minded approach to their children’s future, stating in interviews that she would fully support their daughter if she decides to follow in her parents’ racing footsteps.

Her own background in racing, combined with Daniel’s successful career, provides their children with a unique perspective on the motorsports world.

Whether their children choose to pursue racing or forge their own paths, the Hemrics are committed to supporting their dreams just as they’ve supported each other throughout their journey together.
