Jon Moxley, the tough wrestler and actor we all know, is also a loving dad to his daughter, Nora Moxley. His life with his wife, Renee Paquette, took a beautiful turn when they welcomed Nora. Being a father has changed him in the best way possible.

In 2013, Jon crossed paths with Renee Paquette, who was working as a backstage interviewer from Canada.

They hit it off right away. Their first date was in Las Vegas after a wrestling show, but it wasn’t your typical quiet dinner.

A bunch of Jon’s friends, including Seth Rollins, tagged along! Despite the crowd, their connection was undeniable.

After dating for four years, Jon and Renee decided to marry. They had a simple, private ceremony at their home in the early hours of April 9, 2017.

In 2021, their family grew with the arrival of their daughter, Nora. Becoming a dad has been a big deal for Jon.

He’s said that it’s made him appreciate life even more and want to keep wrestling for as long as possible.

If anything [fatherhood] just made me appreciate life more and made me want to do this for as long as I can.”

Growing up in Cincinnati, Jon was a huge wrestling fan. He looked up to Bret Hart and dreamed of being a wrestler himself.

He started wrestling as a teenager, working for Les Thatcher at the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA).

He did everything from selling popcorn to setting up the ring.

At 18, he trained with Thatcher and Cody Hawk, another HWA wrestler. In 2004, he finally made his debut as Jon Moxley.

In 2011, Jon signed a deal with WWE and joined Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where he wrestled as Dean Ambrose. He wasn’t just a wrestler, though.

He also tried his hand at acting, playing a detective in the WWE-produced action movie 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown.

Jon’s career has been full of exciting moments.

He started wrestling as Jon Moxley in 2004 and won the HWA Tag Team Championship twice in 2005.

He joined WWE in 2011 and became Dean Ambrose. In 2012, he debuted on WWE’s main roster as part of The Shield.

He won the WWE United States Championship in 2013 and the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2016. In 2019, he left WWE and started wrestling for AEW.

That same year, he also won the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship in NJPW. In 2021, he took a break to get help for alcoholism.

In 2022, he formed the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW and became a heel, aligning with it in 2023.

In 2021, Jon faced a tough battle with alcoholism and decided to go to rehab. Renee supported him by moving the family from Las Vegas to Cincinnati.

Jon has recovered and is back to wrestling, feeling healthier and more focused.
