Born on July 2, 1957, in Calgary, Canada, Bret Hart is the son of Stu Hart (father) and Helen Hart (mother). However, he is not the only son of his parents; he is the eighth son of his parents. Besides, Bret has seven brothers and three sisters and spent all his childhood playing with his siblings. Wrestling had always been in Bret’s genes; from an early age, he would attend many wrestling events with his father. Regarding his education, he went to Earnest Manning High School, where he completed his primary education. Hart revealed that he started training at nine, just for his father’s sake. By the time Hart reached High school, he was already a trained wrestler with a state and provincial championship.
Later, Hart was enrolled at Mount Royal College for a filmmaking course. Even though Hart was a great amateur wrestler, as a child, Hart never thought of being a wrestler. Bret Hart started as a referee at the beginning of his career; he even sold tickets to his father’s wrestling events before he became a professional wrestler.
But finally, in 1978, Bret made his professional debut; one of the wrestlers couldn’t perform that day, and Hart was sent inside the ring to fill someone else’s position.
However, even though it wasn’t something Bret desired, he did his best. Nonetheless, from that point, the relationship between Bret and his father became stronger. Bret was doing well, traveling and promoting his father’s business. Soon, he started liking wrestling and received a chance to be part of WWF in 1984. The rest is history.

WWF signed Bret Hart for WWF, but he wanted to work on his terms. At first, WWF suggested Bret adapt the gimmick of a cowboy, to which Bret refused. Later, he started his career in a tag team with Dynamite Kid. However, after a month, Bret was introduced as Hit Man on the live telecast. He took help from Neidhart and other family members to strengthen his portfolio as a wrestler. He won his first-ever WWF Tag Team Championship in 1987. After that match, Hart changed his name to “The Pink and Black Attack” and started wearing his signature sunglasses.
In 1991, Hart won his first-ever singles championship in WWF, i.e. International Championship. That same year, Brat also won the King of the Ring title. The year 1992 witnessed the outstanding performances of Hart; he showed some exceptional moves which made him win the Match of the Year. Later, that match was considered one of the best wrestling matches in the history of WWE. That same year, Brat won his very first WWF championship and defeated the title against Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and Razor Ramon.

At that time, Old Generation Era was about to end, and Stone Cold was on the rise; then, he challenged Bret to a match and constantly humiliated Bret in front of the audience. However, Brat and Cold faced each other in Royal Rumble, but Stone did some cheating and won the match. Hart didn’t like the decision, and as a protest, Hart quit WWF the day after that match.
Later, Hart made his return and turned rebellious; he hit McMahon and ranted wrong about WWF. Thus, this incident marked the beginning of the Attitude Era in WWF.
