Ivan Rodriguez Torres aka Pudge is a 52-year-old former baseball player from Puerto Rico. He played as a catcher and 20 years in the MLB.

Moreover, Pudge was a sensation right from his childhood and started playing in the Little League when he was 8. Eventually, he played for multiple minor league teams before officially signing for the Texas Rangers.

In his long career, the catcher was under contract by 7 different teams and made significant milestones. Rodriguez was a 14-time All-Star and 13-time Golden Glove Award winner.

Pudge won the much coveted World Series Championship in 2003 with the Florida Marlins. In addition, he was the AL MVP in 1999 playing for the Texas Rangers.

Furthermore, his number 7 has been retired by the Rangers and he is a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Dereck Rodriguez is the son of one of the best catchers of all time, I-Rod. He is not much different from his father, as he is also a professional athlete.

His full name is Ivan Dereck Rodriguez and he was born on June 5, 1992, which makes him 29-year-old. Dereck was born in Arlington when his father was playing with the Rangers.

Furthermore, Dereck grew up in Florida and attended Monsignore Edward High School where he started his baseball journey. Like his father, Dereck was a catcher initially but later transitioned into a pitcher.

Dereck has been under the MLB franchise since 2018 but as of now, he is a free agent. During his time, he has played for the Giants, Twins, and Braves including several minor league teams.

In addition, he represents the Puerto Rican National Team and won the silver medal in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Moreover, bearing such a heavy was always bound to be a burden for Dereck. Nonetheless, his career path does not determine his relationship with his dad.

The MLB HoF tied the knot with Maribel Rivera in 1991 and has 3 children with her. Dereck, Amanda Christine, and Ivanna Sofia are his precious possessions.
