Reginald Miller is a former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Indiana Pacers for 18 years.

Reggie attended Riverside Polytechnic High School and later joined the University of California in 1983 to play for UCLA Bruins. 

Indiana Pacers had selected him in the first round of the 1987 NBA draft. He played with the team until the end of his basketball career in 2005. 

During his time, Miller became a five-time NBA All-Star, three-time All-NBA Third Team, and two-time First-team All-Pac-10.

He also bagged the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award and USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year among the numerous awards.

He was born on August 24, 1965, in Riverside, California, U.S., to his parents, Carrie and Saul Miller.

His brother, Darrell, is a former Major League Baseball player (catcher for the California Angels).

Likewise, his sister Tammy played volleyball at Cal State Fullerton.

Saul Jr., his brother, took a path different from sports. He became a musician and later followed his father’s footsteps in military service. 

Furthermore, Reggie is married to his wife, Laura Laskowski, and the couple is blessed with three children.

Miller was also seen on TV quite a few times. He was seen as guest host of the network television talk show Live with Regis and Kelly, filling in for host Regis Philbin.

As of now, Reggie is a host on TNT’s NBA coverage and also answers “Reggie’s Mailbag.” He is also a weekly contributor to The Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio.

On March 14, 2010, a documentary titled Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks premiered to the public on ESPN. It was directed by Peabody Award-winner Dan Klores.

Since 2011, the former athlete has worked as a T.V. analyst for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship tournament. 

Reggie has worn multiple hats of professions, and it is noteworthy to know about them.

He performed a voice role in the Disney-animated TV series Hercules. After retirement, he also appeared in a comedy role in Uncle Drew in 2018.

Not only that, Miller appeared in the seventeenth season of the American reality competition television series Hell’s Kitchen.

He was one of the guest celebrity athletes assigned to contestants to serve as culinary students.

The former basketball player was voted onto the USA Cycling Board of Directors in December 2020.
