After enrolling at FSU in January, he instantly became a front-runner to replace his brother.

Ricky finished with 19-26 field goals in the regular season. In his debut, only He made 6-6 6-6 on-field goals in Florida State’s season-opening against Rebels.

Later his 6 field goals in a single game set a national record for a college debut and the most field goals made in FSU history in one game. This just could not have happened without him. It was a record-breaking moment.

Aguayo also had a few bad moments with the team. To count in, he went 0-3 against Louisville in Saturday’s game against the Cardinals.

Aguayo completed 2016 with 73.1% and 63rd in the FBS among 100 kickers with enough attempts to qualify.

In his sophomore year, he completed 18-21 field goals with an 85.7% success rate, which tied him for 10th in the FBS. He also made season-long 51 yards against Wake Forest.

Team Captain And Yet Being Benched

Accurate Kicker

No doubt, Ricky came out of FSU as one of the finest Kickers. He just kicks it so perfectly and naturally at a distance.

He has made it in a manner that he took over his older brother Robert, after becoming a pro. It’s obvious to make comparisons between him and his brother for the general audience who have watched them often.

Undrafted

National Football League is the main goal of high school and college football players. The recognition, money, and playing career offered by NFL are considerably better than other football leagues.

So, most of the players want to play in NFL. But is not fortunate for all, as in 2019, only 3.8 draft-eligible D I athlete was drafted in the 2019 NFL draft.

Similarly, Ricky Aguayo was unfortunate in the 2020 NFL draft. Although he earned a college degree, he couldn’t sadly earn a place in the draft class of 2020.

Moreover, it was an unfriendly draft for FSU as only one of their players was drafted.

Ricky is one of the best kickers in college football history, and definitely, his time will come soon.

But at present, being a free agent, he agreed to join special teams of The Jousters to play in a minor league known as the spring league
