The head coach of the NFL, Ron Rivera, is happily married to Stephanie, and they share two children together, Christopher and Courtney.

Their daughter Courtney, in particular, has an impressive background, having played for the UCLA Bruins softball team in the early 2010s.

She has also worked as a social media producer under her father, Ron Rivera, during his coaching positions with the Carolina Panthers and Washington Football Team in the NFL.

Ron Rivera is a respected figure in the world of American football, currently serving as the head coach of the Washington Commanders in the NFL.

Ronald Rivera played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, in the early 1980s and was recognized as an All-American linebacker for the Golden Bears.

Later, the Chicago Bears selected Ron in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft and played for nine seasons with the team.

After retiring from playing football with the Chicago Bears, Rivera started coaching in the NFL as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles. This was the beginning of his coaching career in the NFL.

However, beyond his professional life, he is also a devoted family man who cherishes the company of his loved ones.

Ron Rivera met his wife, Stephanie Tamayo, while they were both attending the University of California.

Rivera was an All-American linebacker for the University of California, Berkeley Golden Bears’ college football team. Similarly, Stephanie was the starting point guard on the Cal women’s basketball team.

The couple got engaged in 1983 and married shortly after. Together, Ron Rivera and Stephanie have two children, Christopher and Courtney.

Daughter Courtney Is A Senior Producer 

Courtney Rivera, the daughter of Ron Rivera, was born on May 27, 1993, in Lake Forest, Illinois. She attended Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California, and played baseball, earning All-Western League second-team honors.

Courtney was not only known for her athletic abilities but also for her academic achievements, as she was named to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team as a scholar-athlete.

After high school, she continued her athletic career by playing softball. She later worked as an assistant softball coach at Providence Day School.

Currently, Courtney works as a Senior Producer of Social Media at the Washington Commanders, where her father is the head coach. She previously held the Social Media Producer position at the company for one year.

Likewise, Ron also has a son who was born in 1986. Courtney and Christopher Rivera have an age gap of seven years.

Unlike Courtney, Christopher has limited himself from the limelight of his parents and isn’t active on social media.

Ron Rivera Wife Is A Former Basketball Player

Stephanie Rivera, the wife of Ron Rivera, had a career in basketball that included both playing and coaching.

She served as the assistant coach for the Washington Mystics, a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After a knee injury ended her playing career, she transitioned into coaching. However, she eventually stepped down from this role to spend more time with her family.
