Rosemary Hunter, a native of NewYork and an active former member of Levittown North Baseball, Inc., passed away on Friday, September 12, at an untimely age of 56, leaving her family, friends, and loved ones devastated.
While the actual cause of her untimely death is not yet disclosed, according to her family member, Rosemary Hunter passed away in her sleep.
Rosemary, born on March 17, 1969, touched the lives of many with her kind nature and decades-long profession as a teacher and member of Levittown North Baseball, Inc.. This nonprofit organization helps athletes from ages 3 to 12 in their athletic journey.
She served as an exceptional school teacher for 31 years, working at Carle Place School, and helped thousands of students on their academic journey.
Similarly, her loved ones remember Rosemary Hunter as a kind, loving person who was always there to help those in need.

Rosemary Hunter leaves behind her only son, Timothy ‘Tim’ Hunter, a 10th grader at MacArthur High School and an exceptional baseball player, and the whole family.
‘The Wantagh, NewYork community has created a GoFundMe to help Timothy Hunter as he faces the unimaginable tragedy of losing both his parents.
The fundraiser aims to gather $70k, and to date, around $66,956 has been raised.
Rosemary Hunter was Preceded in Death By Her Husband, Sean Patrick Hunter
The untimely death of Rosemary Hunter came two years after losing her beloved husband, Sean Patrick Hunter.
Her husband, Sean Patrick Hunter, born on November 29, 1971, in South Hempstead, New York, passed away on June 28, 2023, at an untimely age of 51.
Sean, a graduate of Fordham School of Arts and Sciences and Molly College, was a skilled medical social worker. He worked as a social worker for Skilled Nursing Facility in Long Beach, New York, and Our Lady of Consolation.
In addition to being an excellent social worker, Sean Hunter was a devoted husband to his longtime wife, Rosemary, and a great father to their only son, Tim. The couple lived a happy and adventurous life, travelling to different places.
Furthermore, Rosemary’s family has organized a funeral and memorial service to honor her.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, and Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Thomas A. GLYNN & SON FUNERAL HOME.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at St. James R.C. Church, and Interment will be on the same day from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, New York 11590.
