Linden represented the national team in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics women’s marathon.

One of her most significant accomplishments was the 2018 Boston Marathon, where she became the first American woman to win the race in 33 years.

Linden’s victory in Boston was especially remarkable because of the challenging weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, and cold temperatures.

Moreover, she holds the women’s 50K world record of 2:59:54.

In the 2010 Chicago Marathon, Ryan Linden achieved his personal best with a remarkable finish time of 2:26:21.

Interestingly, on the very same day, Des achieved her own personal best with a time of 2:26:20.

At the time, they were dating and training together but had limited interaction on the course until they reunited at the finish line.

The pair then eventually exchanged their wedding vows back in August 2013.
