The Saint James, Missouri, community continues to mourn the heartbreaking death of Jillian Engelbrecht, a young girl whose vibrant personality and loving spirit touched everyone she met.

Jillian, affectionately known as “JJ” or “Jilly Bean,” tragically passed away after sustaining traumatic brain injuries in a car accident early Saturday morning.

According to family friend Jodi Thompson-Elder, Jillian was rushed to Columbia, where doctors operated and provided intensive care throughout the weekend.

Loved ones and friends flooded social media with messages of faith and hope, praying for her recovery.

We have seen the Lord move time and time again throughout this weekend,” Jodi wrote, asking for continued prayers for Jillian’s parents, Jami and Dusty Engelbrecht, as well as her sister Jaycee and grandmother Myrna Engelbrecht.

Despite the family’s unwavering faith and the community’s prayers, Jillian’s injuries proved too severe, and she passed away, leaving her loved ones heartbroken.

Her family and friends describe her as a bright, joyful soul who radiated positivity wherever she went.

Madi Grace, a close friend, shared a touching tribute:
