Olaf is the assistant coach at New York Liberty (WNBA) & Australian Opals (AUS Womens National Team).
The couple, married for years, bring their coaching partnership to the New York Liberty with their collective experience.
Previously, Brondello worked with the Phoenix Mercury as the head coach.
After the mutual decision to cancel the contract renewal, on January 7, 2022, Brondello was officially named the head coach of the New York Liberty.

Through his Linkedin, Olaf described himself as an experienced head coach with a demonstrated history of working in the basketball sports industry.
Olaf Lange’s early education started with the Berlin Ulrich-von-Hutten Gymnasium (high school).
He studied Sports Science at the Humboldt University of Berlin from 1991 to 1995.
Later, he got his basketball coaching degree (A-License) from the Deutscher Basketball Bund.
After completing his degrees, Olaf gained several experiences as an assistant head coach and head coach.
With the learned skills of coaching, management, and development, Olaf has worked for UMMC Ekaterinburg – FIBA EuroLeague Women from Sep 2012 to Jan 2018 as a head coach.
Further, he worked as an assistant coach for Chicago Sky WNBA from Dec 2019 to Dec 2021.
He has been the owner/director of Kaizen Basketball Academy, LLC, a young and dynamic basketball club, since 2019.
Kids Of The Basketball Power Couple
Brody Lange and Jayda Lange have two kids, a son named Brody Lange and a daughter named Jayda Lange.
Their son, Brody Lange, also shares a passion for basketball with his parents and is currently playing high school basketball with Brophy College Prep JV Basketball.
Brody is maintaining high school performance and will finish his high school degree in 2025.
Jayda is the youngest daughter of the family and appears on the social media posts of her parents.
Fun fact: Sandy’s daughter Jayda & Candace Parker’s daughter Laila spent much time together growing up.
Co-Owners Of Kaizen Basketball Academy, LLC
The couple is co-owner of the Kaizen Basketball Academy, where Sandy oversees the managerial duty.
On the other, her husband takes over three roles: agent, manager, and organizer.
The academy was incorporated on 13 March 2019 and has been in the market for over 7 years now.
Located in Arizona, U.S., it serves basketball coaching to the girls of grades 6 to 8 in their ongoing program.

After an impressive eight-season with the Phoenix Mercury, Sandy Brondello was recruited by the New York Liberty in late December.
The New York Liberty announced their completed coaching staff, which includes Olaf Lange, husband of head coach Sandy Brondello.
Lange brings extensive experience, having worked with Brondello in the WNBA and overseas.
With the couple on the same coaching staff, the New York Liberty are optimistic about the collective knowledge and skills they bring to the table.
