Her dad, Robert DeMelo, was from Portugal and had spent almost two decades playing soccer.
Later, DeMelo transitioned into coaching and played an essential role in training young talents at Beach FC in Long Beach, California.
Alongside him, his wife, Kimberly, supported their young girls when they decided to play soccer.
Following her dad, her other sister Makayla is passionate about soccer and has played soccer since her early days.
She played for her dad’s team Beach FC for nearly eleven years until 2021.
After graduating high school, she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she plays collegiate soccer for the LMU Lions.
