South Bronx Prep’s basketball player Jordan Agyemang reportedly passed away due to a heart attack.

Jordan Agyemang was a 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward for Keiser University’s men’s basketball team.

He hails from the Bronx, New York, where he starred at South Bronx Prep. He led his high school to a city championship and earned First Team All-State honors, scoring 1,500 career points.

Agyemang started his collegiate career at Clarion University, where he played for over three seasons and helped lead the team in rebounds in 2021-22 and averaged 11 points.

After moving to Keiser, he played in 12 games during the 2022-23 season, averaging 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds, and recorded a double-double against Johnson.

However, he missed the 2023-24 season due to injuries.

Jordan Agyemang, born on May 15, 2001, in the Bronx, New York, took his last breath on April 22, 2025, at 24.

An Instagram handle named HoopsdreamsNYC.com revealed that Jordan died due to a heart attack.

Journalist Jaquam Bodden took to his official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of Jordan. He wrote,

The community here is mourning the loss of @southbronxprephoops alum Jordan Agyemang who passed away yesterday. Our condolences go out to Agyemang’s family as well as his friends , teammates and the South Bronx Prep community.

The Perseverance Community also sent their heartfelt condolences and prayers to former Perseverance basketball coach and former Keiser University men’s basketball player, Jordan Agyemang. They wrote,

Keiser University’s basketball player Jordan Agyemang’s parents, Rick Agyemang and Danielle Jones, are mourning the tragic death of their son.

Although his parents avoided the media spotlight, they supported Jordan in his basketball journey.

Closed ones and relatives have offered their heartfelt condolences to Jordan’s parents to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.

Jordan is also survived by his three brothers, Xavier, Jayden, and Kaiden, as well as one sister, Taylor Agyemang.

His brother, Xavier, is a 6-foot-6 freshman on the men’s basketball team at SUNY Ulster. He also attended South Bronx Preparatory Academy.
