Shaun White brother, Jesse White, was the first person to teach Shaun to skateboard. Following in his brother’s footsteps, Shaun became one of the most talented snowboarders.

Shaun White, born and raised in San Diego, developed a deep passion for snowboarding from a young age. His talent was recognized and nurtured by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk.

With Hawk’s guidance, Shaun honed his skills in both snowboarding and skateboarding.

Inspired by his older brother, Shaun excelled in snowboarding and began achieving remarkable success at a young age.

Shaun made his mark at the Winter X Games in 2003, showcasing his exceptional talent and capturing the attention of the entire nation.

His outstanding performances earned him a spot in the 2006 Winter Olympics, where he won a gold medal in the halfpipe.

He repeated this feat in the 2010 Winter Olympics, winning Olympic gold once more. Shaun continued his winning streak by winning his third Olympic gold medal in the halfpipe event at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Shaun White Brother, Jesse White

White’s brother Jesse White was born in 1979 and is seven years older than Shaun.

Jesse is the creative director of Whitespace by Shaun White. The company produces and sells snowboards, jackets, apparel, and other gear essential for the sport.  

Jesse previously worked as VP of Brand Marketing in the World Surf League. Prior to that, he did work as Director Designer at Burton Snowboards for five years.

Jesse’s Instagram account showcases his talent and passion for creative design, featuring a collection of art pictures and portraits, often depicting various cartoons.

The talented youngster is married and has two sons. He was married to Dominique Alexandra White on October 13, 2018. Their wedding ceremony was lavish, and their friends and families were invited.

The couple welcomed their first son Theodore Michael White nicknamed Teddy, on April 2, 2019. 

Two years later, in April 2021, their family grew even more with the arrival of their second child, a precious son named Julian J. White.

The couple’s Instagram handle is full of family pictures. Recently, Jesse shared a picture of himself teaching his eldest son Teddy how to ride a bike for the first time.

White’s Sister, Kari White

Kari White, Shaun White’s sister, is two years older than Shaun. Among the three White siblings, Shaun White is the youngest child.

Kari founded Mayor B, a dog accessory company. She has completed a special course in the design of dog accessories.

Shaun’s sister, Kari, married her boyfriend, Ryan, in 2018. The celebrated snowboarder expressed his feelings on Twitter about his sister’s wedding.

Shaun White’s Parents, Cathy, And Roger White

Shaun White’s parents, Cathy and Roger White raised three kids in San Diego, California. According to The New York Times, their father, Roger, worked for the San Clemente Water Department. 

Roger was raised in Coronado, California, a city near San Diego, and enjoyed surfing at Imperial Beach and Del Mar. He graduated from Coronado High School and attended Monterey Peninsula College, frequently surfing in Santa Cruz, California.

There is not much information about Shaun’s mother. However, it is known that Shaun’s mother, Cathy, worked as a waitress to support him and his three siblings.

Cathy disapproved of Shaun’s snowboarding career because it was one of the most dangerous sports. However, she acknowledged his talent as it brought the family together.
